Professional trips
Each year AMA visits a city in the midwest for a professional trip. Each trip gives members insight into the marketing industry and what they can expect when they enter it. In addition to company visits members engage with each other at a nice dinner and team bonding activities. These trips are a great professional and personal growth opportunity!
Bi-Weekly Meetings
Every other week AMA members gather for a general meeting lead by the executive board. Whether it be a professional workshop such as resume building, or a guest speaker, AMA ensures members are gaining valuable professional and personal experiences at meetings.
Philanthropy and Fundraising
AMA makes it a priority to engage with and support the community. There are various opportunities members can choose from to give back and fundraise for the organization as well.
Professional Development
Each semester AMA offers various opportunities for members to grow as a professional. Networking luncheons, resume workshops, guest speakers, and study sessions are just a few of the ways members gain important knowledge about what it means to be a rising professional.
Career Fairs
AMA hosts a career fair each spring semester. This is a special opportunity for both AMA members and other students at the University of Iowa to learn about potential job opportunities and gain valuable networking experience.
